Retirements, Vesting, and Resignations are at an ALL TIME HIGH:

The NYPD continues to lose our experienced Detectives & Supervisors! A single Detective is tasked to investigate over 500 cases a year! Precincts have less Officers on Patrol!

Service Retirements are up 300% in January 2025.

1,103 Officers Retired or Resigned in just the last three months.

3,132 Officers Resigned in the last 3 Years.

3,943 Officers are currently eligible to retire.

The DEA, SBA, and LBA are sponsoring legislation to RETAIN NEW YORK’S FINEST. The NYPD is suffering from a severe retention issue with respect to its personnel. They simply cannot keep up with the unprecedented exodus of members. We need to retain experienced Detectives, Sergeants and Lieutenants. Enticing these officers to stay longer will stabilize the Departments workforce and help keep our communities safe.
